Please, help.. fourteen year old needs to learn how to tie shoes?

Hey, everyone. I'm fourteen years old, and no matter how hard I've tried over the years, I just can't get the hang of tying my shoes. I don't get it - it's not like I'm stupid, I'm an A student, yet I can't do something as simple as tie my shoes. This is an issue I'd like to address so I can personally, you know, tie my own shoes and not worry about it all day when they come untied, or having to do some weird "tuck them in" trick at the bowling ally. Please, if you have any advice on how to teach an older dog a young dog's trick, please help.

I'm sorry, but I just had to laugh when I saw this question.

Anyways, you could try taking one lace, make it into a loop, take the other lace, wrap it around, and then pull it together. This is the loop, swoop and pull method.

Or you could try making bunny ears with both laces, and pull one bunny ear through the hole in the middle of the two bunny ears. This is the bunny ears method.

I hope I made sense, if not you might want to try some of the websites that have been suggested here.
Reply:It`s ok. You`ve gotten some great answers and I just wanted to tell you that my daughter has the same problem with her motor control when it comes to tying her shoes and we get velcro for her or a slip on. Some kids just have trouble with it.

Reply:Get loop laces, they are simple to tie, and look like regular shoelaces. www.looplace.com
Reply:There are shoes thaat fasten onto your feet without laces. Good at any age, and very fashionable.
Reply:if ur a girl wear flats, if ur a boy, wear vans or slip on shoes
Reply:Okay take an end of the lace in each hand. make an x and loop one under the other. then you should have a smallish knot and then you take each end again and just make a loop with each of them. then cross the loops and put on under the other and pull. that should work otherwise look it up on google or something.
