How do I get rid of gum on my bowling shoe? It's not on the part needed for sliding.?

I honestly don't know how the gum got there but it was some idiot who missed the garbage can and I was still in the alley.

How do I get rid of gum on my bowling shoe? It's not on the part needed for sliding.?
either freeze it off with an ice cube or dry ice, or u can put peanut butter on there and it will dissolve the gum. u have to kinda work the peanut butter in, but it will work
Reply:Coconut oil

peanut butter

gasoline

WD40

Any solvent with a semi-volatile hydrocarbon

any light oil.

Use a rag and any of the above.
Reply:try using olive oil.
Reply:throw the shoe in the freezer overnight. chip the gum off in the morning. Then take 100 grit sandpaper to the leather sole to get it ready for bowling again.
Reply:ice or oil..depends on what part the gum is on...ice it and scrape it off...or oil it and rub it off...
Reply:I imagine you could use an Ice cube to freeze it so its hard and not gooey. Then scrape it off with a knife.
Reply:Put your shoe in the freezer (in a plastic bag or whatever to keep it away from your food of course).

After it's been in there a few hours and the gum is good and frozen, take it out and snap the gum right off.

If you don't have time to leave it in the freezer for awhie try using ice to freeze it up and get it off that way although it's a bit harder and messier than the freezer method.
