Do you just SUSPEND all of your fears and just wear the shoes they give you at the bowling alley?

Or,

do you just hit 'em with a flamethrower to force back the infections waiting inside for your feet?

I have my own bowling shoes.
Reply:Given a choice, I'll take the shoes I own (with my own personal nastiness already inside) out of my own bowling bag. As to my three sons, I make sure they wear a pair of socks, and sometimes two pairs, to make sure they stay uninfected. But it's always nice to see the counter clerk take back bowling shoes and spray them with a good blast of that industrial disinfectant they have -- I guess that's a sign of a "good" bowling alley!
Reply:If you bowl a lot, spend $30 and go buy a cheap pair of shoes. Check out bowlingball.com, they have some cheap ones. If you dont go much bring some good socks and remember they do spray them with disinfectant, how much that helps i dont know? But your better off buying your own, there a lot more comfortable too!
Reply:Yea, gone are the days in the '60's when you could bowl without compunction in the rental shoes, because there were no fungal mutations creeping around in feet.
Reply:i weear shoes that are kind of shaped like bowling shoes.. not the same colour ewl.. and then they dont say anything so my feet are safe.. for now
Reply:Dude,

just be sure to wear thick cotton socks,or take some spray for athletes foot along.

Of course you could always opt to buy some :)
